Default hydro loacking your engine?

Ok I was coming home tonight in my 94 integra and it was pouring out side in arizona ya kind of ironic n arizona that is why I dont have the bypass valve on my aem CAI. Any ways all of a sudden my car starts shooting up in the revs when i push the gas and i am in gear so i wasn't going any where then my car started to die on me then back to life it was really weird i managed to pull off the road at the audi dealership and have some come pick me up any how my questions is did i hydro lock my engine in any way? if not what could of made my revs start going up when i was pushing the gas in gear? also any other information would be great.
Thanks

could you of possibly been spinning the tires? If not, pull your spark plugs and the fuse for your Fuel Injection and crank the car over and see if any water comes out of the holes your spark plugs go in.
