Default How to clean a block?

I got a very dirty B18b1 block that needs cleaned. Can I just power wash the damn thing? Or will that mess up the cylinder walls? Everything is out of the block. Its bare. So whats the best easy way? Thanks. Oh and i did search but couldn't find anything.

how about simple green..dont let it touch any steel though itll eat it up. or pay a machine shop 20-40 bucks and theyll hot tank it for you and then it looks brand new again. then buy silver spray paint put it on the outside and then it really looks brand new. have fun be smart.
