Default honda-tech i need help

well my car has been shutting off lately, id be on the freeway or something and all of a sudden the car would turn off. ive checked the battery, distributor, electrical connection and a few other stuff.

im starting to think that it could be my alternator, what are ways to check if it works?
i have a dmm, i turned my car on and checked the battery i got about 14.5 volts. i just let my dad borrow the car so he could go do something quick and i noticed that when her reved it the headlights got brighter? could that be something

take your car to the local autoparts store. they should have the machine there to test your alternator

What he ^ said. Just take it to Autozone or a similar store, they have a little portable machine that they can connect to your car.
