Help, trying to replace hatch supports!
I have lost function in one of 'em so I bought a couple from Import Auto Salvage. My right one unscrewed at the top, then easily slid off down at the bottom and I installed the new one.
The left one however, I got unscrewed at the top, but down at the bottm, it REFUSES to come out. It almost looks like there's a piece in there that WASN'T on my right side. It's like some sort of ball joint kinda deal. And it just will not come off. How do I take it off?

the "ball joint thing" is just a swivel for the strut...
just take a 12mm or 14mm (can't remember the size) wrench and there should be a head behind the "ball joint thingy" for you to unscrew.
