ok first of all there is a search feature on this site for a reason

second, the maintenance required light is a factory honda thing to remind you of certain schedule maintenance, not necessarily just to change your oil

if the car is fine, and you keep up with service, then turn it off

should be a little box under the steering column to the right of the steering wheel with a button on it

turn your ignition on and hold it for a few seconds, the light should go off

Not that you need to. But if you sit in the passenger seat its under the dash by your left knee.

yes the maintenance required is just telling you that there is some kind of maintenance according to honda that should be done... it should be in your owners manual of what they say should be done at the mileage the light came on at... you dont have a problem unless your check engine light goes on...

i believe 5w30 is right but im runnin a 10w40 in mine... so that wont set your maintenance light off... try resetting it first.... <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by GRAF-FITI &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">second, the maintenance required light is a factory honda thing to remind you of certain schedule maintenance, not necessarily just to change your oil

thats kinda true, the thinker oil will help any spots that are leaking to leak slower and yah because of the mileage i would use the 10w30 then... it wont hurt anything to use a different weight... and if i remember correctly the buttons in the same general area under driver side dash for the da's because my buddy had a da and showed me that on his when i told him mine went off and i wasnt sure where the button was at... so try looking and let me know.. if cant find it then ill double check with my buddy...
