Heater core problem
I've done a search and just trying to confirm that this is a heater core problem because its a pain in the butt to replace. Both my drivers side and passenger floor is damp, my coolant is usually gone in 3 days and i don't see any leaks. Heater core right? thanks in advance.
if you want to be extra sure! get a male- male radiator hose connector - not sure what size, and temporarily bypass the heater core under the hood, remove the hose from the core and the hose from the heater core valve under the hood and connect the hoses together to loop the fluid, run the car a week or two, if problem has resolved, its definitely a leaking core.
I think i have to the problem what u had but my coolant was leaking on the passenger side below the dash. Nope not fun at all i had to fix my heater core in the cold for 2 day straights an the temperature was below 40/F dat shiat was pain in the as good luck dude
Make sure that you get some sort of carpet cleaner to clean the carpet in the front while your dash is out. It's best to get all the coolant cleaned up then because it will leave a residue for a long time if you just leave it.
my heater core change, just jumping in there and doing it, took about 12 hours start to finish.. i didn't just hack the clips, i undid each wire anchor and made sure i did not mess anything up, heater core was a 4 seasons, was 90 at o'rileys

Yup, this is a heatercore problem...check to make sure that it's not just the line that brings in the coolent...sometimes the rubbing of to metal will cause a hole on the weaker metal...hence your aluminum hose rubbing on your firewall...But might just be a bad heater core all together.
