How to fix heater core leak....?
I have a water leak in my 96 civic. I assume it's the heater core leaking as my radiator empties and my engine/water temp goes sky high.
Anyone got hints or a ho-to guide to fix the leak or bypass the heater core all together....?
Thanks in advance.
I tried using the search function but it wasn't working for me.

Does the water in your car have a sweet smell to it? Hell, push comes to shove, rub your finger over the carpet and stick it on your tongue. Nasty? Yes. If it's antifreeze it'll be sweet. In which case you need a new heater core. If you wanna be a cheapass, pop your hood. Look for the two rubber lines that are going through your firewall that go to your heater core. You should have clamps on there that let you disconnect the hoses from the fittings they're hooked to. Find yourself a brass or plastic barbed connector that'll slide into each end. Connect the two hoses together, done deal. Use hose clamps to make sure the hoses don't come appart. I'd say get a new heater core though. No heat sucks.

I've exactly that problem buddy...lol
Well i'll join up the two hoses for now and get a new heater core.
It's god damn cold in the UK, so no heat would suck big time...
Thanks for your advice,
