Header Clearance
I'm about to buy a header for the new engine and I've been reading alot. I know that the 4-1 will bring a few more HP at the top end, but the ground clearance for a 4-2-1 header is better. Any advice? I know some of you guys have really low cars.
i had the 4-1 on my integra with neuspeed race springs. they only thing i ever scraped on were speed bumps. the 4-1 wasnt that much lower than the 4-2-1 but it 4-1 was extremely close to the oil pan(it actually touched very lightly at the back of the pan, it was the dc sports 4-1 ceramic coated).
Does the 4-2-1 header give any better lower end torque than the 4-1? I am building a B18b where the RPMs aren't as high as your ITR. I'm looking for more lower end torque.

When I had a DC 4-1 with Neuspeed Race I scraped a bit, after a year or 2 it ended up being pretty dented. When I got Tein SS and raised my car just a little, I never had a problem. So if your car is really low, I wouldn't suggest a 4-1 unless you are really careful.
Theory says that a 4-2-1 is supposed to give you more low/midrange gains, while the 4-1 will give you upper rpm gains - but I have not seen this proven on a dyno with the DC setups, but maybe I haven't been looking in the right places. That generalization could easily be proven wrong, especially with all of the new header designs that are out or are coming out. With the DC designs, I am assuming the general theory holds true, because I haven't heard anything else.
As for 1 piece vs 2 piece, the advantage is probably just ease of installation, and if one part gets damaged, you could reuse the other part. There isn't going to be a significant power difference unless you have a leak or something. I know it was a bitch to maneuver my 4-1 1 piece into my engine bay - I had to remove a fan bolt and kind of tilt it in - definitely a 2 man job.

Good to know. I actually just ordered my ceramic coated 4-2-1 two piece for my LS about 3 hours ago. Going to pick it up tomorrow (saturday).
