it should be the power, which you tap into your instrument gauge cluster, so it'll light up w/ your gages at night...

The white wire is for lighting. According to greddy's website, red is for a "12 volt constant." What in the world does it mean by that??? I run power through the battery? Then, theres no fuse to protect my gauge. Sigh, so fustrating....

You can tap it into the 12v constant that your stereo uses.
