Whats the best 93 octane brand to run in a GSR on track day: Chevron,Shell,Exxon,BP,Sunoko?.

I just curious cause im trying to make sure my car is running as best as it can for a upcoming track meet, and I also plan on runnin a little octance boost to.

octane boost is crap and you dont need the extra octane in your car unless you're going to raise boost or swap to a heavier jet. gsr's require 91 octane and thats the stuff you should run.

as for a good brand of gas, they're all the same gas. seriously, theres pipe lines that deliever petroleum products all over north america, the companies put 1 barrel in 1 side and a barral comes out the other, its not the same barrel. its just the same quality. each different brand adds there own additives. i personally trust mobile, shell, and bp. as for the cheaper stations (red apple and other no namers) i dont like to buy gas there.

remember, your car requires 91 and the only reason to run higher is if you have a reason to.

the thing you have to watch out for is the additives. a lot of the cheaper companies use additives to increase the octane rating, but it's really crappy gas

actually its not the water you should worry about, but the other additives. water is there to displace so they can have more total liquid to sell. the other additives that they put in are kinda crazy. there are quite a few detergents and an additive to keep the volatility down in summer and volatility up in winter, to keep it from freezing, theres additives to absorb and isolate water in the fuel system. most of these additives are different alcohol's. alcohol has a tendancy to raise octane and absorb water when in gasoline, but if theres too much (like the octane boosters add) it actually does harm to the fittings, lines and you filter. i dont suggest adding any additive regardless of what it is.

i dont trust seafoam and all that other garbage. if you can get it at advanced at it claims to be some "mechanic in a can" then its probably garbage and your better off just fixin the problem then trying to mask it with one of these products

You might want to stop putting 87, 89 or the reg. stuff in...i used to do that with my prelude (vtec) for about a year and a half....my rings were trashed...lost compression and f*cked up every thing internally! Just my experience

your lucky, gas around san diego for 87 is 2.23-2.40 and thats 87. out premium 91 is around 2.50, so we're the ones that have to say god damn, not you. why doesn't cali offer 93 octane ? whats the reason for different octane levels in different states?
