failed NY state inspection today
i went to like 10 different shops to get my car inspected and when i finally found one. i was worried about failing the emissions part of the inspection but i passed that but i failed due to a broken front sway bar. after waiting 1hr to find out i failed i got charged $21 to have my car looked at and they removed my sticker cuz it was expired. so now i'm driving with no sticker and i have to get that fixed to pass. i'm gonna go find somewhere where they will over look that.

what year is your car? i know this guy he owns a shop and he gave the asian discount $21 out the door with a sticker. only for 95 and under cuz 96 and up needs to be pluged in. try another shop they might not see the broken bolt. or just put in a new bolt

Why wouldn't you just repair it and then take the car to a state inspection centre? With the money you spend on paying for inspections from someone who'll "overlook" the problem, you could fund the repair instead, and have a safer, better handling car.

Wow I've never heard of failing inspection because of a broken sway bar.
I guess you could just take the bar off altogether and then get it inspected.
But yeah the best idea is to fix the car so it will handle better, and of course so it will pass inspection.
