Which engine takes more boost, teh B18C spec R, or the B18C1???????

I would go with the b18c1, unless you can afford the c5.

 

If you're talking about stock blocks, I'd go with the C1 over the C5. The C5 has way too high compression for boost (even the C1 is high). If I were you, I'd pick up an LS block and resleeve it and o-ring it, then put some good pistons/rods in and a good head gasket. That should make a strong motor, and as long as you don't detonate, you should then be able to run as much boost as you want.
