so i was driving down the road and it sounded like my cams started making an awful noise. popped my hood and saw metal shavings in the engine bay under the cams. fuhhhh. my first cam gear was past advanced while my other cam was at 0. changed the 1st cam to 0 and now it runs like a champ. should i be worried about those metal shavings and where they came from?

 

Where did the metal shavings come from? Your timing belt jumped a few teeth?
