Default cam installation

im looking into installing cams myself, and i was reading somewhere that you should rotate the engine to TDC(top dead center). i was wondering how the hell to do something like that, rotate the engine?? anyways, any explanation on this TDC would be helpful and anything else on cam installation would be helpful. thanks

I believe you simply move the timing belt until the cam gears marker is at TDC.
