Cam gear was spun while engine at TDC w/ no timing belt on.
Could this damage an engine? If the cam gear made a few revolutions while the crank was at TDC, and the timing belt was off the engine?

As long as the cam was stable and not rattling around and you set it back to TDC it'll prolly be fine.

Are your cam caps and holders bolted down?
I did it when the cams were bolted down
It clicked 4 times as I rotated
Once at 90degrees, 180degrees, 270degrees and back to 0/360degrees.
Does clicking it to 0/360degrees set the cams to TDC?
