Default Do i need to lower the compression?

I am planning on getting either a drag gen 3, or a rev hard kit for my gs-r. I was told that I only need to worry about getting rods and pistons if I go over 300 whp. I will just be running this kit next summer, will it make it till the winter untill i can put on rod, pistons etc? What do you recommed I do? Thanks!!!!1

if u want to go over 300 hp ur gonna need more than just pistons and rods
more like: bigger injectors and
stand alone like apexi FC, hondata, AEM ems, speed pro, haltech.
and alot of tuning
