distributor problem
I need help, bro. my car won't start up, everything is normal the day before it happend. i changed a new battery, still the same. engine does crank, but does not fire up. is this a distributor problem?? and how do i make sure its the distributor gone bad?? thanks
you can go to autozone or kragen n get the ignition coil tested n the control module tested. You can take out the spark plug wire from the engine n put a spark plug in it and have a friend crank the engine while you check for spark. Are getting fuel? Another cause could be a bad main relay.
i filled up the car couple days ago, plus, i smell gasoline after i crank it couple times. if i want to test the spark, do i have to place the spark plug somewhere to have it spark?? connect ground wire or something??
My experience with main relays is that usually the check engine light wont come on when you first start up and then go off. I think that you don't get fuel pressure either though.
