Default --Distributor Install---

If when in taking out the old distributor I make a line where the old one was, then I should be able to put the new one in with out any timing issues correct?

Or does anyone have an how to?

Also I am throwing Code 9 which when searched hinted towards the distributor.

It will probably be close enough if not the same, but the only real way to tell is to use a timing light.

Well I am having a timing belt and water pump install done in a couple of days so should be good until then,

However, am I in Limp mode now with CEL 9?

Well I actually live in Sarasota, I think I am just going to align everything for now, then when it goes to Colin, Racing Integration on Monday for Timming Belt and Water pump, so the timing will all be set then.

One quick question, when I take the old one off, will I have to check the rotor to see what postion it is in then move the new one into the same position?

Yes.

the rotor is keyed into the camshaft, so there's really only one way to install it.

the keyway that fits into the cam itself is wither right or it is 180 degrees off. easy to figure out. i wish all of my motors had it.

yes, as I was doing it, my dad watched over and looked at the Haynes. Then said all the steps are unessary. The rotor will only go in one way, or the other, so in only took me 5 mins, and the timing is unchanged.

Thanks for the help guys!
