Default dc2 weight reduction question?

Ok, I did a full back removal. Spare Tire, Seats, Side Plastic, All Plastic, Seat Belts, The whole nine yards. Also, I removed glove box! What Can I put in the back down over the metal so that It wont look so nasty! Keep in mind that this is a 95 Acura Integra GS-R!

Put the plastic back in, and then lay in the rear carpet. Be sure to remove the padding from the carpet first. Then consider getting the airbag tray and an aftermarket steering wheel, as well as some lighter seats. There's a nifty e-brake cover you can get to eliminate the armrest, as well as block off plates for the radio and clock.

I think Im just gonna put 2 10in Alpine Type R's in and spray Liner down in the Back and throw in some black leather in the Front! New GS-R blades also!

I have seen people spray paint the entire back in black, it looked pretty good.

spray it black i have a fully gutted dc2 ls no door panels, headliner, console, carpet, back seats panels, or vents it looks fine all black. if you want want to sacrifice some cozziness for performance gut it. you'll see a definent improvement in 60 fts, and a decent notch of ET's .

there's an easy way to have both the things you want.

do the weight reduction as everyone has previously mentioned.

mount the amp on your sub box. use molex connectors on your amp power and ground wire, then a seperate molex connector for the rca's and remote turn on (less interference). then use latches to the floor instead of bolting the box down.

u'll then have the weight reduction you're looking for on race night by having a sub and amp setup that's quick disconnect, but have the comforts of having the bass you want when your just cruising. good luck.

What! I can totally Spraypaint the back black? That sounds like and extremely good Idea! What do I need to put down newspapers and such? Should I go with Flat Black, or Glossy Black?

Same thing was done to my teg...just laid down the back carpet over the hideous metal just like the other guy said, pull out the padding first. Looking for a backseat though for mine if you want to get rid of yours. Black leather???
