major stuff that i did was remove my entire ac system, remove the spare tire stuff from the hatch, removed the plastic floor panel and carpet from the hatch, aftermarket header, removed all stock intake piping, and lighter wheels. all toll ive removed around 130-160 lbs from my car. next i was thinking about removing the rear seats, rear panels, sound tar, and carpet.

I have a DC2 but things i have done is totally gottin rid of AC system including evaporator under dash. (i think that is the evaporator?) I also used an EG non power steering rack and got rid of all th power steering. Also i got rid of the power antenna and the hole setup and the rear wiper and total setup. But i kept my spare and **** cuase i got shitty tires. O and the most important join some old lady yoga class to essence the mind and soul. You will lose weight that way.
Unless you honestly need a wieght reduction, why bother? Just makes your car more uncomfortable, noisy and in the end doesnt really make a huge difference in 1/4mi or RR times... for a full out race car yes, but for a daily driver it seems stupid IMO.

i agree
if your car is a daily driver...then
to you!
if its for track only, i suggest you remove everything that is not neccessary for the car to drive...
gut door panels, no windows, lexan glass in rear and quarter panel, remove AC and PS, seats, carpet, dash, spare tire, cut a hole where the spare tire is gunna be, just remove everything!!

weight reduction is good and all. I did it to my 88 hatchback. Took the entire dash and ac and heater out. It is only good to a certain extent. You should probably worry a little more about traction. All horsepower and no traction= a loud slow piece of s***.
hahah lose weight GO RUN!
hit up the sauna for a couple hours, lots of water!!!
If youre really serious about losing weight, you can do what my friend did. Cut the whole spare tire area out, cover it with sheet metal and weld it.
Cut the inner rear quarter panels
Fiberglass doors
lexan windows
If you do this i would highly recommend getting a cage.

you get a new exhaust yet??
you get a new exhaust yet??
-header is quite a bit lighter than stock manifold
-lightweight battery
-fabricate aluminum mounts for accessories on engine (cast ones = heavier than you think)
-everything said before but most of that sacrifices luxury, these don't
-heat shields
