DA Swap?
I have 1993 LS Integra. Its all stock, White, with JDM One Peice lights. And i was wondering what a good swap be for an every day driver. i was thinking a b18c1 but what is the difficulty level on swawpping it or i could cheap out a get a b16a1.
Just wondering some suggestions.

engine swap guide on http://www.g2ic.com will help you immensely
your stock motor makes for a good dd...people say the b16 is underpowered for a teg...mine is stock

exactly! just boost your B18A and you'll be walking b18c's

Its probably high mileage so I wouldnt just go and slap a turbo on it. Go with a B18C, then when money permits later on boost that bad boy. This is what I'm currently doing in my DA. I already swapped a B18C in and its 10x funner to drive than the old LS motor. And while I'm saving up for my turbo I'm putting my head up for sale or trade and will be going with a B16 head (poormans ITR).
Even if you dont go with a B18C I would atleast swap in a low mileage motor to boost. B16's are good also as well as B18B's but if you got the money I would definitely go with the B18C, it will own all those boosted or N/A.

yeah my b18a has high mileage so a turbo probably isnt a good idea. but a b18c1 is what i would want but is hard changing from obd 0 to obd 1. how difficult is the swap. would this swap have everything needed to go ?http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30009.
thanks.
thanks.

you are already OBD1, if it's high mileage then, bore sleeve it, drop some new bearings, 404's PP on head and IM with a port match on your TB, then piece your own turbo together and tune it....still alot less, then if you buy a GSR and having to do the same to it, do it right from the get go!

i have a 92 DA also. It was turbo LS, but took it all off bwecause I had to smog last month. So now it is back to stock. I'm in the process of buying a b18c(gsr) and swapping it and eventually boosting it. Even without the turbo, the b18c will still be fun to drive.
I like the B16 swap in the DA chassis. It is cost effective, reliable, and offers good mileage for daily driver status. In stock form it would be faster than your stock LS.
I had the "big vtec" OBD 1 cable swap from steve @ Hmotorsonline.com in my 1992 DA and loved it. Of course that was four years ago now many people are faster.
Good luck with what ever you do!
