cruise control removal?

i took the CruiseControl actuator out but im having trouble taking the cable off my pedal. I tried searching but none were descriptive enough for me.

If you could post some specific instructions it would be helpful....

I took out my cruise control switch so I figure why not remove the rest of the unit too...

Push the top of the pedal forwards towards the firewall. Then pull up on the cable. There is a notch cut out where the cable attatches and it will pop out when you pull up on the cable. Its not hard, just a pain in the *** to find the notch.
