compression test
Before we all go comparing actual pressures, remember that ALL of this stuff has to be the same...
1) Same gauge. The internal volume of the gauge/hose matters. So does the location of the check valve inside the gauge.
2) Same rpm when the starter cranks. Oil temperature & battery condition & a handfull of other things influence this. For example, if you only remove one sparkplug at a time, it'll crank more slowly.
3) Same throttle position. Wide-open.
4) Same cranking procedure. I prefer cranking until the pressure quits rising, not counting how many revolutions...
