compression results..
sup guys, did a compression check on my gsr...ran a 150 across all 4 cylinders...looking to boost on stock internals...around 6-7 psi...let me know if you think i should do it..with my compression results
low numbers.. gsr should be 200-210, get a leakdown.
either that or try doing the test again and make sure you do it COMPLETELY right.. engine is warm, throttle is wide open, etc etc.. also make sure the gauge is accurate

Most people crank the motor till the gauge stops. But you can get a general idea by. Warm up the engine until the fans kick on and perform compression test with igintion disabled, throttle fully opened, and crank each cylinder 5 times.

exactly... motor should be to normal operating temp , this way everything has fully expanded and creates an optimal seal.
i did a cold test to get difference and i got 170, 173, 172, 175 and then warm and i got 185 straight across

i think the best answer is no.

yes it will go up if your rings are good.
yes it will go up if your rings are good.
wow thats gay. my 96k b18b is 210, 195, 200, 210. i got erronous results the first time i did it so i tighted the fittings on my tester then wehn i screwed it in i made sure it was really tigh in there by twisting the hose. no tools. then i got those results which i'm happy with.
