I have a 2001 gsr and my car is burning about a quart of oil every 200 miles. I did a compression test and i was running 230, 220, 220, 210. The car really lags alot from 4000rpms and above. Any ideas of whats wrong with the car? Thanks

are you sure its burning it is there smoke coming out of the exhaust? are you sure there isnt a leak somewhere?

 

It isnt a leak i had it checked out at a shop. I only burn alot when i go on it. Smoke comes out of my exhaust.

 

otherwise i still burn oil but not as much.

 

I would say piston rings. Do a leakdown to confirm since a compression test only gives you info about the first compression ring.

Yea definately do the Leakdown...... I was burning 2 quarts of oil every 200 miles and there were chunks of my pistons missing on all 4 cylinders
If your car dont smoke you have to have a leak somewhere.... keep us updated
