I'm getting my cars compression checked tommorow but dont know what a healthy compression for my engine is. Its C/R is 10:0:1 (JDM Si B18C) so does anyone have any idea what sort of figures i should expect from each cylinder with the above c/r...i really have no idea on these things and i've done a search but couldnt really find what i was looking for. Can i take it that if 230-240 for a GSR cylinder is a good figure with a c/r of 10:6:1 then anywhere above 220 for my car should be ok??
I think i have may got the compression ratios for the jdm and usdm integras mixed up..??
One last question..if i get low readings on one or more cylinders is that an indication that rings are worn and if so will B18C5 or B16A1/2 rings fir my car. Honda over here only ever sold the ITR and civic with b16a/2 engines and so rings from a JDM B18C will be a lot harder to get...so in other words can i use rings from a different engine?
