I clean mine with my carpet steamer so it doesn't soak in water. You can probably gently brush them with soap and water.

A simple way I use is to wash them with the car wash soap after you are done washing the car...and a stiff bristle brush, and lots of rinse water!
Or yea, a detail shop can do them up for ya.

you dont really need to take it to a detailer to steam clean it. you can get one of those steam buggies for about $80 and steam clean it yourself. you can also use the steam buggy to clean your engine bay too.

$80 is about the same price for someone to detail your interior. I put my tan floor mats in the washer on the HANDWASH setting which is the lowest setting to prevent any damages to your floor mats such as the thread coming apart.

here is what i have done.
found some stuff inder the sink one day. Resolve carpent cleaner. Its a dry powder/granuals. You shake it on the mats. Then you brush it in and work it in with the brush provided. It sits for allittle while then you vacume it up after about 10 minutes or so. I do it about twice a yearand they stay looking decent. I do hve the tan interior so i dont know how it will work on a black interior. Wont do too much for the crushed carpet where your feet rest during driving but it cleams um up pretty nice. Just alittle elbow grease needed.
Once i got them real muddy and sat themover the fence and hosed them out and let dry for the remainder of the afternoon. Worked fijne for all the dirt and mud but didnt do anything for the stains. Dont be afraid fowater on them, just let um dry completely and no worries.
