Check Engine light... PLEASE HELP!
'98 Integra. About a month ago, my check engine light came on. My first assumption was that the gas cap had something to do with it. I made sure to close the cap tight, and even checked my air filter for good measure. The check engine light went off after 5 days or so...
Last Friday, the light came back on. I did the same tightening of the gas cap, and I have made many trips in the past week. But the light is still on.
Does anyone have any suggestions? The car seems to be running normal but who knows?!?
Please help!

check the third post from the top, "ecu codes here" That'll answer all your questions. and do a search, most any problem we can have with orur cars has been discussed at least once. hope that helps
not certain but that sounds like your CAT, felt any loss in power? that usually is the first sign its going bad. If not the wires might be gunked or rayed, not sending a strong enough signal, but again, I dont know if that code realy is from the O2 sensor on your cat or not. Do what boosted suggested and see if the code comes back
Honestly, I don't feel any difference in the the way the car is running...
Is the O2 sensor a strong possiblity? How much do they usually cost?
Might it be worth it to get a new sensor before paying for the Cat?

well again Im not 100% on the cat thing, shure sounds like it though. If you havent heard any rattling( cats are mde up of a honeycomb and when they go pieces fall and start rattling, then they clogg up and you lose power) I'd make the O2 sensor my first stop, you'll find it right behind the cat in the exhaust pipe, make shure its not gunked up and check the feed wires, make shure they arent frayed and that all connections it leads to are secure.
If anyone else can say for shure that this code corresponds to what I've said I think that would help out alot, dont wanna send you on a wild goose chase. that sensor's just a couple of bucks so might wann just do it if no one clears that up. Also make shure you reset the ecu first and see if it goes away before you spend any time an money messing with it

**** this got coverd quite a few times, havent had to do it myself but I believe under the kickpanel on the drivers side you'll find a button, push it, engine off. If you cant find that then disconnect the battery, completely, and let the car sit for 30 secs minimum (?) doesnt look like I spelt that right, anyway, if you can find the buton, thats best, but if not the other way should work too.
