Default Bore Size

any way to tell what size ur bore is on a usdm gsr, w/out tearing down the motor and measuring? i want b16b pistons but dotn know whether to get std bore or .25 over bore.

LOL std means standard bore which is 81mm stock cuz its standard! o/s means 81.25mm because its oversized. it pretty much expalins itself when something says the word "oversize" meaning its bigger.

instead of "tearing down the motor"... you could just look up specs on it. this **** is all over the net. seriously, go type "b18 bore" in yahoo or google and you will get over 30,000 hits. BTW all b series are 81mm with the exception of the B20 and i think the old prelude b motors.

umm, standard bore for all b series minus b20's is 81mm. honda only offer's oversized pistons in case you need a slight overbore to clean up the cylinders when doing a rebuild.
