Default B18A problem!! help!!!

I just bought a built 91 Integra, pretty clean but with some minor issues. but last night the car just cut off on me.

This morning thinking i had ran out of gas i added gas turned the key, waited for the system to get fuel and cranked it. the car would start idle at 2000rpm and then it dies, if i play with the gas the car will stay running for a sec and then just dies.

I checked my ecu and I am getting code 3 and 7 (map sensor and throttle angle), so i checked the TPS and it has a cable that was added and it wasn't making good contact so i fixed it, but still same problem.

so my question?....do I just replace the TPS and hopefully my problem will be gone? and the code 3 will go away because the map reads from the tps? right?

if this has happened to you please give me some pointers here!!!

i don't think the MAP sensor on a 91 integra reads off the tps. the MAP sensor is a vacuum sensitive sensor on the firewall which i believe reads directly off the manifold. you can test whether it's functioning correctly by testing resistance. same goes for the TPS
not sure on the exact calibration, but i'm sure you can find it with a quick search

You'll need to adjust the TPS if you haven't already. Should be around .5 with the throttle body closed and 4.5 at wide open. I would check both of these:

main relay

ICM/Coil

I tested the TPS and there are no dead spots on it, and yes you are right the map does read from the manifold. ok so yesterday with my uncle's help we got to the conclusion that the Fuel pump went bad. because 1. there is no fuel coming out from the line when I open the ignition or crank the car, 2 the fuel pump simply doesn't make any sound. so I know on my 91 Teg the fuel pump relay is a main relay which means that if it was bad that other stuff would't work on the car either?

I need a heads up on this because i would rather buy a $45 relay from autozone than another walbro fuel pump.

Definatly check the PGM-FI Main Relay first, it is a common problem on older Honda/Acura... http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/mainrelay.html I have done this repair on many PDM-FI Main Relays, including the one on my sisters Civic and my 94 Teg.

You also need to test the power leads going to the PGM-FI Main Relay, there are 3 of them, a 12V+ constant, [hot at all times] a 12V+ switched, [hot is run and start] and a 12V+ start, [hot during crank only]. 94

X2, check the main relay. This problem is very common.
