take everthing off the b18 and put it on the b20. I did that when b18b spun a rod bearing in my 94 coupe. Love the torque

its a direct swap. use ur dizzy, ecu, wiring harness, and im. if i were u i wouldnt do it. especially if there is nothing critically wrong with ur motor. not to much faster than ls. jus save up for a vtec head and go ls/vtec. jus my opinion

Like others have said, save up for a better swap.It would suck to end up getting a b20b and actually lose alota hp.Im pretty sure they only have 120hp due to lower compression.Just something for u to think about.

get the b20...ppl that are saying no to b20 probably have no first hand experience with it...torque is important...

Golden Example: 99 si vs ls...same quarter mile times...despite the gearing advantage the si has..why? because torque matters

If you decide to go b20 try to find a b20z block, that way you will have a higher compression ratio. Either way you love the torque that the b20b,b20z has.

i know first hand what its like. my daily driver currently has a b20 in it. oh and by the way, a stock b20 makes more power than 120 hp. i know they are rated at 120 hp and 133 tq, but ive seen dynos of stock b20s doin like 130-140 whp. i jus think they are rated low. well i see ur motor has a fuckload of miles on it so yea go ahead and swap, but first what u should do is order ur b16 head and a a b16 tranny and jus go ahead and do b20 vtec of the bat. ill be goin b20 vtec this weekend wit mild cams and bolt ons. should be fun. while u got ur motor out u should go ahead and get flywheel/clutch combo. i know its a lot of money and all but u will have no down time if u build ur mototr while u got one thats running in the car. is there anything specifically wrong with ur motor or does it jus have alot of miles? burn oil?

well the head gasket leaks, needs a new cam seal....and right now its acting wierd like when the motor is cold its runs ok but when it warms up it runs like crap and i mean CRAP it ides low like its about to die and i have no power what so ever it like i have 50hp when i floor it, and when i normaly drive it liek bogs utill like 3,000rpm i live and work in town so i never go above that unless im racing, so i havent yet figured out the problem, i dont know what to do.....and when i get my new motor i will get new clutch/flywheel

B20's are rated low because of the intake manifold and exhaust manifold. Put a 94+ up or skunk2 Intake manifold and get a decent header like a 96 ITR 4-2-1 with a 2.5" collector and it will make a lot more hp and torque. Also try to get a 92-93 GS-R tranny with the shorter gears.

The motor will work in the DA if you transfer over everything.(i.e mounts, distributer, alternator, fuel injectors, wiring harness, thermostat housing.)

b20 is awsome....i swapped out my ls motor for a b20 and it felt way faster..just ignore those stock hp numbers....i think its faster than LS and i've beaten b16 's not GSRS though...but F them b20 .... once you get it you'll never go lower than 2.0 ---- currently b20b turbo

what problems would you have with a b20, that you would be avoiding with any other 4 cylinder honda motor? name some problems...i bet they are problems seen before with any other motor.
