Oil return line
Just installed my drag 3 kit last week and I was thinking about the oil return line. I saw online somewhere that the rev-hard/max-rev kit came with a better designed oil return system. It consisted of nipples and steel braided hoses as opposed to the drag kit which has a L-shaped metal pipe connected to some rubber hose.
My question is, those of you with rev-hard/max-rev kits, where can I get the oil return plumming?
Thanks,
azntak

I just bought the following parts:
1. (2) 45 degree -10 female swivel-seal Part # 804610
2. (1) 1/2" to -10 adapter Part # 981610
3. 2ft -10 stainless steel braided hose
I have a question though, what size fitting do I get for the oil pan? (the fitting that needs to be welded onto the oil pan)
Thanks...

Depends on what type of oil pan you have. I have a 2000 Civic EX with a cast aluminum oil pan, so I had to get an aluminum -10 AN weld fitting(#997110 @ http://www.bakerprecision.com).
But, if you have a steel oil pan you need the 5/8" or -10AN steel weld fitting.

Damn....that first one was way back in the day for me, back when I didn't know anything. Haha, what an embarrassment, lol. Guess everyone starts somewhere.

Is it okay to just get the -10 AN / 3/8" or 1/2" steel adapter and just tap the oil pan with that piece instead of getting the weld fitting? The reason I want to go this route is if I plan on selling the car later, I can keep the turbo kit. All i'd have to do is unscrew the fitting and plug it up with a bolt of that size.
My only concern is that this might leak. what do you guys think...? Has any one done this? what size adapter/fitting did you get?
Thanks

I used a bulkhead type setup--only because I couldnt find anyone to weld my weld-on fitting to the pan when I was doing the initial install. Basically I just used a 10AN union and put a 10an nut on the backside of it along with an oring and used hondabond--well, ford bond--to seal it. No leaks yet.

i just bought this block and it included an oil return bung. Should i change it out to brass instead of aluminum??
It doesn't look too low. I'm not sure(from the picture) that you could raise it up much more. You just need to make sure that the oillooks like it can drain properly and is not blocked by the oil already in the pan. Kind of a judgment call.
here's another shot of the return bung

here's a bigger version of the picture..(you have to copy and paste it)

I used a straight -10AN union. I put a -10 AN nut on the back side of it, used an oring and hit it up with some rubber bond--Ford Motoco to be exact, its the same rubber bond that honda uses.
