Does everything look correct in my transmission
Alright, some of you know that I had to rebuild a tranny and have ran into a few problems but now I think everything is correct, or at least I hope.
I made a video of what it looks like and how everything is working. Can anyone verify that everything is right? Thanks again, and sorry, the high quality resolution version takes a little longer on youtube but this one isn't too blurry.

Re: Does everything look correct in my transmission
Go ahead and install everything without Hondabond to seal the cases, and test it all out if this is the first trans you've sealed up/rebuilt. This will let you practice a bit more.
Everything seems to be in order though. Shouldn't be a problem. Make sure the mainshaft washers are installed properly - I can't see them from the video and they're probably right, but just double-check.

The casing is having troubles going down which I thnk is because of the differetial bearing so I'll give it some more pressure and do the shifting techique you talked about in your thread.
Well, I'm off to try it out . If all goes well, I'll be putting my ls vtec I built in tonight!

Re: Does everything look correct in my transmission
great news everyone! The transmission works thanks to everyones help. I guess I under estimated myself but when I moved through the gears, every one of them spun the differential. Now it's time to take it apart once more, apply hondabond, then bolt it up to my motor to be dropped in tonight!
Thaks for everyone's quick help and tutorials

Re: Does everything look correct in my transmission
Just when I thought it was over . I'm not sure what is causing this. When I screw in the bolt for the reverse idler, the gears no longer want to spin and are jammed up. When I take it back out everything works fine. I'm trying to get the top half off right now but it is giving me a lot of troubles. Hopefully it's something small.
Also, the bolt both times had a real hard time spinning back out and the tip was chewed up.

Re: Does everything look correct in my transmission
so that 14mm is crossthreaded now? clean up the threads with tap and dies. was the bolt ever able to tighten after reassembly? cuz you said it spun fine...did you not put the idler bolt in at that point? just trying to get a sense of what's going on. it's weird how that is making it bind.

I just repaired the threads with my dad's tap and die kit and was thinking maybe I was using the wrong bolt. I took the reverse idler bolt from one of my ls trannies and sure enough it was shorter. I just mixed up two bolts and it must have went through the shaft on the reverse idler and up against the gears.
what a relief it is all working now. thanks for the help!
