If you don't have experience with it, I would recommend having it professionally installed. It might not seem like it at first glance, but the windscreen is an important safety and structural component of the car, and installing it is something that it best left to an experienced professional.

dont do it I am an autoglass tech and i repeat dont do it if you have not atleast had a years experience for one i dought your going to be able to cut it out without breaking it for 1.
For 2 dont use acetone on the car.
3. If you decide to get brave make sure you arent using a primer released urethane if you are make sure you prime the pinchweld and everything you can to make sure the windshield seals properly.
4. before installing the windshield make sure to scarpe all the rust you can off the pinchweld. But if its rusty you are almost guaranteed to have a leak down the road. only proper way to fix the rust is have it professionally taken care of at a body shop.
overall just find a mobile installer to come to a location you are at during the week and have them do it. dont go cheap with a windshield. ive seen people come to my shop that have had there winshield fall on the hood because they tried to do it themselves.

Re: (MustWonder)
I work for a car dealer so I probably got a hook up on price, but I paid something like 200$ for (NEW) glass, and molding installed on my 240sx. I've watched the guys do many windshields and I would personally not recomend trying it yourself unless you have been trained. If a windshield has never been replaced before it is more than likely to crack forcing you to buy a new one anyways. Just pay to have it done and it takes like less than an hour, do it yourself and spend probably a weekend.
