Default Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX someone please help...

I have a friend that bought a 90' GSX...After a year of running it softly (with only 3 races ran to the engine) the engine only smoked when the turbo kicked in at 1 psi+...Next at about a month of no racing and smooth slow acceleration, the eclipse started to overheat within a matter of 5 minutes from turning it on... Can someone help me and tell me if it is fixable? I wanna do it myself (I guess hes too ******* lazy) to learn more about engine repairs and modifications

I am not sure what it could be...but it seems those cars do like to blow headgaskets alot. That is kind of a pain in the *** to change. We changed my friends 94 Talon TSI's head gasket this last summer.

Definately post this at www.dsmtalk.com they should be able to help. Also, drain the oil and see if you have coolant in it. If you do, get ready to do a headgasket. I've never done one on a DSM but it should be pretty easy to do yourself.
