Re: help please
The stamp is there, it's the next pic in the album and it does show P2A-1. The flange doesn't look like it's for a VTEC solenoid though. If anything it looks more like the older style heads that all had the mechanical fuel pump mounting flange in the cast itself. So it didn't matter which engine it went on, it was just a matter of tapping threads and opening up the hole for those that utilized the mechanical fuel pump.
My best guess, this is the earliest or only version of the P2A head that retained the option for mechanical fuel pump. Maybe certain markets had the ZC carb engines that utilized this particular head. Who knows.

Take pictures of all teh stamps.
Maybe someone with better knowledge of heads comes along and can identify it from what you posted.
Obviously that person is not me.

Re: help please
When I said older, I'm really referring to one engine generation back which actually spans maybe two generations of civic. Don't worry about the details though. In a nutshell, your year is the first year of this engine style so it sorta makes sense that you have the -1 or whatever. Take a look back there on the head, snap a pic if you have to, and I'll bet that cavity isn't even open.
Just for reference:
EDIT: added this pic
You can see the pump attached in this pic.

Re: help please
Old vs new, plugs in back for 88-91 all and 92-95 non-VTEC. Plugs in front for 92-95 VTEC and 96-00 all. I just used the pic as a reference so you can see what it looks like on a known version that uses that spot.
