ok turns out that got a 97 EX D16Y8 head. But does it matter if it was from a auto or manual in doing a mini me?

Yes, because the auto intake manifold has different sensors than the manual, and won't be compatible with the manual wiring harness or ecu.

Well I got the head and not the intake manifold. But that was my next question. Do I have to get that same year manifold? Or can i use the one I got in my 93 DX? my car is 5speed.

Use the distributor from your motor, and get an IM for a D16Z6 with all the sensors.

Yes .... did you think all the wires and stuff that went to your intake manifold were just grounded out?

The D15BUSDM, D15BJDM, D16Z6, D16Y8MANUAL manifolds will all work fine.

Retain the sensors from your original manifold (your 93dx).

Your original manifold will work (93 DX manifold).

Never heard of people doing that. Maybe its bigger.

Are you sure you're not talking about the D16Z6 manifold? I think it's a bit bigger than the DX manifold.

The manual Y8 manifold would be the most desireable for your application. It's the largest of the D manifolds.

OP... Have you ever worked on a car before? Cuz someone who sounds like they know nothing about Hondas, should not be doing this swap. Unless you have help.
