Vtech head
Ok guys im looking to do the mini me swap but im piecing the thing together little by little. I got ahold of a head that is Vtech but need to know what year. Its got like 3 places that have numers and dont know wvat to look for. And would I have to get the Intake Manifold off of the same year?

let me re-phrase the question... The head i have i dont know wut year it of civic it belongs to. i know its a vtec head. but there are numerous numbers on the head, im trying to identify wut year it came off of. and i dont know if its a y8. need help.

Yes, because the auto intake manifold has different sensors than the manual, and won't be compatible with the manual wiring harness or ecu.

Well I got the head and not the intake manifold. But that was my next question. Do I have to get that same year manifold? Or can i use the one I got in my 93 DX? my car is 5speed.

ok so i use the same year as the head i got correct? and I use a manifold from a D16ZC?
what year did these come off of? And would it matter if the manifold came from a vtech or not?

The D15BUSDM, D15BJDM, D16Z6, D16Y8MANUAL manifolds will all work fine.
Retain the sensors from your original manifold (your 93dx).
Your original manifold will work (93 DX manifold).

Never heard of people doing that. Maybe its bigger.
Are you sure you're not talking about the D16Z6 manifold? I think it's a bit bigger than the DX manifold.
The manual Y8 manifold would be the most desireable for your application. It's the largest of the D manifolds.

OP... Have you ever worked on a car before? Cuz someone who sounds like they know nothing about Hondas, should not be doing this swap. Unless you have help.
