jdm type r swap in ek misses BAD
My friend got a 97 civic coupe last week with a jdm type r swapped in that wasnt running right. The previous owner swapped it in and ended up never getting the car to run correctly. It starts up and runs fine for about 3 seconds then will miss really badly at idle all the way up to 3k rpm. Above that it seems to run ok. He did the ckf sensor and cyp sensor wiring trick that is all over and searched all over the website but couldnt figure it out. After he did the ckf bypass it ran ok for a few minutes. It still hadnt had the baseline idle set so he was setting that and it started running like crap again. He double and triple checked the wiring and cant figure it out. Any help would be great. Thanks

It has a p73 ecu in it. Isnt that the factory type r ecu. It has a new distributor, ngk plugs, distributor cap, rotor, and newer msd plug wires. It will only stay running on its own for a few seconds.
