ek b18b1 swap running not right
ok i have b18b1 obd2 engine swapped into my 98 ek, i used original ewh with obd2a p75 ecu, obd2 distributor. ckf trick, iacv 2 wires fixed, primary o2 and second 02 extended and mount. new ig cable, new spark plugs, new dizzy.
it starts up and idling fine and running fine when idle not acting misfiring, or puffing.
but when idle acting drops or misfire or puffing then i can not accelerate, it hesitated.
if i shut it off and start it back on then it running fines for fews minute till i hear it puffing then the problem comes back on.
use obd2 scanner shown no code.
i known you guys have the same problem like i do on the EK civic swap.
please give me some hint
thank you for your time

Re: ek b18b1 swap running not right
what do you mean by180 degree off, what i have to look on the distributor
i have turn the crank to top dead center and cam aligned. and i open the dis cap out and look at it, the ig rotor was on the number 1 firing. ig cable location as 1 is bottom on left hand side and 3 top of that and 4 next and 2 is bottom of right hand side follow clockwise direction.
but if i adjust the dis in the middle between the dis's bolt, it runs very crap, but i push it all the way advance then it is ok to drive but not right no power
any more idea?
oh, if i convert it to obd1 ecu with jumper harness, sh***t it rough and boggs if i put on the road it acts like fuel cut and like you shaking your butt.
thank you

first off, i will argue that a honda OEM distributor can go in 180 out! not possible. if that was the case, you bought a peice of "meets or exceeds oem standards" bullshit dizzy.
The distributor wouldnt work occassionally if it was in 180 out if that would be the case. It would always work like butt. As for your issue, im going to say, check all your grounds, if your not getting a code, its hard to diagnose. But start with grounds, check the thermostate ground first, make sure its tight with clean contacts... also, do you notice this happening on rainy days? Or more humid days? Sometimes condensation in your dizzy cap can make problems.
