Air Bag Light on Dash - How to Turn Off
My air bag light has been on now for a while. I have a 2004 Civic with only 64K miles on it. It's in mint condition.
My question is how can I get the air bag light to go off on the dash? My car is going to need to be smogged and I don't want it to fail for a stupid light.

Recently, Theres been a recall on a lot of older Civics, starting at 2001-3, my civic (a 2001 LX coupe) has been recalled due to "airbag / SRS" problem. Double check, if you got any mail from Honda.

LOL, recently? They've been doing the 'airbag inflator' recalls for years.
Still curious to know which code he finds, though. He should/could just call his local dealership and find out what (or if) they charge to scan the car and find out why the SRS light is on. Not to mention free parts replacement in some cases.

Yeh id check for codes and see what the problem is.
Otherwise you could just remove the light. But im not sure about US rules, do they check it is working aswell as it not being illuminated? Theyve just started doing that in the UK.

It's an LED, not a bulb you can just twist-and-remove.
