Re: 16 volts conversion

A lot of people I've seen use XS power

and never seen someone run an alternator on 16V setup, that's why the switch to 16V is usually made = no more alt

Re: Scat crankshaft

Buddy of mine had issues with a lightweight version crank. Don't remember what brand either Scat or Crower. Snapped at the mains. They took care of em and got him the standard weight and he's never...

Re: How do slicks relate to trap speed at 1/4?

Reading my post before this doesn't even make sense to me. So I apologize. Lol. The 'actual speed' comment above describes it enough I think.

Re: How do slicks relate to trap speed at 1/4?

I personally saw a drop in trap speed when I initially switched to slicks. Initially being the key there because I learned how to drive the car better after so speed went up.

Traction from slicks...

Re: B20v, First pass

Once you make the switch with those injectors share the results. Curious to know the power made and what the duty cycle would be at on those. Calculators online are nice and all but I like real world...

Re: B20v, First pass

Yeah sorry op. But good news from our rants. You will get faster without modding the car, I can almost guarantee that. Just stick with it.

Andy I'll send it in the morning lol

Re: B20v, First pass

Not gonna lie James did do a great job tuning it. Lol. But it was in no way a track tune. When I had it tuned I'd never even been on the drag strip and no intentions at the time of it lol. I feel...

Re: B20v, First pass

Should be able to run some good times with seat time. Cars got potential for sure.

For comparison I ran a 12.86 @ 104 with my 207/138 lsvtec on 23" slicks. Cars got front/rear seats, all plastics,...

Re: DD/Drag B20V build

Not a whole lot in the area it seems. Closest seems to be almost 45 minute drive. But there's a local dealer that has 110 at the pump on the drive up to the track (just fyi)

I'll see if my buddy can make it. He knows enough to help you out with the tuning and what to adjust where you need it. And I can see if there's any pointers I can give you from what's been working...

Re: Randy owens header question

Last I saw on his signature here said he no longer makes intakes or headers. Real bummer but might be worth talking with him and seeing how far some beer and good convo get you. 👍

Re: test and tune days

Wednesday wasn't bad at all. Only a small handful of hondas in the crowd of v8s and I ended up with 7 slips. Anytime it's 5 or more I consider it a great day.

I will DEFINITELY be at IFO on...

Re: Failing Emissions

Wouldn't hurt to maybe get a new cat. I know the ones from auto parts stores aren't good for very long. My MagnaFlow one still helps me pass after 2 years of sitting out behind the shop.
Best of...

Re: Failing Emissions

This was on the b18 chip? Could just be the basemap/chip being designed for a different motor. Best of luck man. I have a seperate exhaust I run to pass emissions because I normally run 3in cat-less...
