Default 16 volts conversion

Hello guys, I am in the process of switching the drag car to 16Volts and would like to know
what batteries are you using size and brands and alternators, and fitment on Honda K series in particular.
Do you know of a company that sells alternators + brackets for this engine?
Thanks alot

A lot of people I've seen use XS power

and never seen someone run an alternator on 16V setup, that's why the switch to 16V is usually made = no more alt

no alternator just charger. You can get do the 16v alternator but what is the point?

I use the XS D Series 16volt. Keep it charged and keep the charger on it as much as you can through the cold months and during long breaks.

Been using the same Rock Racing 16V battery for 3 seasons now. I feel batteries in general are hit/miss.. The only one I have ever had problems with not keeping a charge when purchased new was TurboStart.

Thanks guys for your help. So it looks like XS power is the prefered one and without alternator.
I am calculating that i need approx 120amps during the run and the XS D1600 is rated at 50ah.
What voltage do you end up with after the race?

16.9 unloaded before a race and 16.5 after one race unloaded. I can get 2 passes in between charges easily before i notice a change in the starter and fuel pump. I usually charge every pass though.

Is any additional wiring needed when converting to a 16v system or does it wire up like a normal battery?

Nothing different other than you gotta usually cut the batt terminal connection off and swap it to whatever fits the new batt.
