Scat crankshaft
Has anyone used a Scat lightweight B series crank 92 or 95mm? Looking to buy a stroker crank which is well made and going to last. Any input/recommendations is welcomed.

Re: Scat crankshaft
Buddy of mine had issues with a lightweight version crank. Don't remember what brand either Scat or Crower. Snapped at the mains. They took care of em and got him the standard weight and he's never had issues.
I have a standard weight Scat 95 sitting in my garage right now.

Re: Scat crankshaft
I would say so. While the LW version may pick up/drop revs a small amount fatser, the standard has more "meat" on it for dampening/harmonics and will carry momentum better. I would say for the most reliable setup with a stroker go with an OEM flywheel(or somewhat lightened flywheel, none of that 6lb sh*t) > 92mm std weight crank > ATI Dampener. Have it all balanced individually then together as an assembly and watch your bearing clearances. You can buy all the best parts and best oil but, if the clearances aren't spot on, it's a ticking time bomb. Best of luck with whatever you decide!

Re: Scat crankshaft
