Re: jdm gsr in 95 ex coupe crank but no start after tps calibration

i'd probably do a compression test before anything. if that turns out ok, make sure tps, map, iat are working properly. check your fuel pressure if possible. your injectors could be clogged/dirty.

red gives .5v at closed throttle. what about wot? 4.5ish? closed throttle should be .5v wot should be 4.5-7. i thought he said he had voltage at the sensor (5v reference). i was just trying to figure...

Re: jdm gsr in 95 ex coupe crank but no start after tps calibration

no.your not testing wires. test the sensor itself. not the wires going into it

Re: jdm gsr in 95 ex coupe crank but no start after tps calibration

there's no point in unplugging it and then checking, all you'll get a voltage from is the reference wire, which u did. take the leads to the prongs on the sensor itself. check the continuity through...

Re: jdm gsr in 95 ex coupe crank but no start after tps calibration

you don't check the wires! you check the prongs on the sensor itself.

yes. to test the tps sensor you test the sensor prongs themselves. not the wiring.

Re: jdm gsr in 95 ex coupe crank but no start after tps calibration

if your tps has no voltage why are you worried about the ignition? you said u have spark and fuel and you know that the tps isn't reading, so chase down the tps problem don't worry about...

Re: jdm gsr in 95 ex coupe crank but no start after tps calibration

b series vtec and non vtec dizzys are different. your tps should be .5v closed and 4.5wot. if its not .5 closed you'll either have too little or too much fuel while cranking. also should check your...

Re: b16 intake upgrade vtec problem

you need a programable ecu and a tune. your running lean as balls up top which is why it feels like your losing power, because you are, and probably coming close to popping that little b16 of yours.

Re: vtec quit working on gsr motor in 97 civic

check your oil.. low? was the engine cold when you were beating on it or up to temp? vtec will only "kick in" with adequate oil pressure and engine temperature.

Re: which is best? skunk2, blox, or brian crower cam shafts?

i'd start by looking into an ecu with dataloging capabilities (hondata/aem) and bumping up your compression a bit with some p30 pistons (jdm b16) at least. they'll bump your compression up to about...
