Generally dont teach it because its not really needed unless you are welding razor blades or turn table stuff. Even then not really needed. Ive welded for a long time on a dynasty 350 and never used...

I ran my stock turbo y8 for years beat on daily and revving beyond 8500rpm, it was by far my most reliable turbo car. I dont think oiling is an issue I'd be more worried about the rods than anything...

D sleeves are not weaker. they can handle 500hp just fine on stock sleeves. The block usually cracks before the sleeve
You rarely hear of d-series sleeves cracking in fact Ive seen more problems...

my buddy is using a chinese gt35r ball bearing copy. Never been a fan of those chinese turbos but the thing makes well over 600hp.

Yeah I'm going to go ahead and wrap my dp and add some timing.
I think my ect would be my last resort because it reads pretty damn accurate with ambient temp.

I know my fans kick on before the lower hose gets hot. I think that's what you are referring too since the top hose stays hot
