If you need great detai ldo not attempt yourself. But the jist of it is to remove the bezel around your dash, and all of the connections. Pull your cluter and remove the speedo cable and unhook it...

Check the liquid to make sure its water. Get a little on your finger and taste it, it won't hurt you. If its sweet its not water and antifreeze, therefore start checking hoses as the heater core...

I think it was a good creative solution to a problem.

You can get away with using your stock cable you just have to modify your bracket. Really simple when you go to put it together it will be olbivious. Next time give your buddy a backhand for hating.

It only makes sense that it is not your motor and tranny. I would blame the shift linkage and more closely the shifter itself. Put the car in the air and check it out, I have seen weirder things.

Gauranteed its your slave cylinder, follow your clutch pedal and feel around the fire wall, if your hand comes out all grimey, slimey and dirty your leaking fluid and time to swap it over.

Syncromesh is nice, but it's not magic in a bottle, it can't fix everything. And at $15ish a bottle it's costly.

Redline is nice as well but it doesn't last to long and ends up being an even more...
