wow i laughed for 5 seconds after i saw the 1st picture.
ummm did you get the axle out? you can also drop the motor down on the ground and jack the car all the way up and pull it out.

I have also done this. Let me sound like a ghetto mechanic for a minute, me and my buddy swapped our first motor and dropped the motor on the ground, and used the engine lift to pull the front end of the car up so we could slide the motor out from underneath it. It was ghetto but it worked. Good luck.

Use the engine lift to pul the car up and get the motor out the bottom. Just make sure you have a big friend (230+) over the stand on the base of the lift so it doesn't tip over.

Re: (SlammedDC2)
wow get your self some pry bars and a friend and just start lowering and lifting the motor move it side to side ect ect it will come out. next time u pull a motor get a dolly to drop the motor onto with the cherry picker then use the cherry pick to lift the car over the motor. after u take the motor out from the bottom of a honda u will never go out the top ever again. or if your like me today im pulling my motor but i cant get my hands on a cherry picker so i pulled the tranny out already and now im gunna drop the motor tip it back and pull it out from under the car..... GOOD LUCK!!!
is the shift linkage unhooked?

To the original poster ignore what everyone has said, it seems that they have never pulled a motor themselves.
Of course the shift linkage and shafts are removed.
I would lower it back to the origninal position. Rehook the chain from the front of the motor closer to the tranny side to balanace it out, theres a spot for it, you should be able to see it.
Also when lifting a motor form the top in the DA, it makes it a lot easier to remover the radius arms and the front subcradle. Doing this is only 4 or so 17mm and a 6 or so smaller bots holding abother bar perpindicular to it. When its all removed you can lower the motor to the ground and then twist it so it can come out easier, so it will clear the passenger side mount.

lol, you trying to say the motor has to be perfectly level to pull it out??

Re: (CleanLikeJdm)
From the looks of your pictures, you have a tire holding the tranny from dropping to the concrete slab. Remove the tire holding the tranny, and re-hook the lifting points
in the front mount. (the most forward part of the motor} once you lift the motor
the angle will change, to more vertical position, I suggest removing tranny oil out of the
transmission, it will leak out on the floor..

Of course not, but I find its a lot easier if its somewhat level. He has nothing to lose by rehooking it and trying a second attempt so he can lift it out, otherwise he will have to lift the motor 10 feet in the air for the tranny to clear the rad support.

I have pulled a few motors, and my preferred method is to drop the motor on the ground, use the engine lift to lift the car over the motor and slide it out. What works for me might not work for everything.

Oh, I just think it's funny when people assume that no one else has done what they have done.

Never meant to be that ignorant, I just read a lot of people giving some really stupid advice such as the driveshaft and shift linkage.
I only drop from the bottom, if I am using ahoist, otherwise, I go from the top. Different ways same result, right. But he's already working on it that way so continue.
