Default clutch acting very weird

so this afternoon i left my car in the parkinglot when i got back (about 2 hours later) my clutch felt very different, it felt that as soon as i let go of the clutch in first gear, it takes about a few inches to grab, it grabbed very fast...and the distance of the grabbing point to the floor is very close....is this the case where i have to change the clutch master cylinder?...this has never happened before...

oh and i have a 6 puck clutch, grabbing point is usually in the middle, now its towards the bottom...WTF!!!!

Your loosing fluid through your slave cylinder.

Run your hand under the dash and feel for the leak and if it is your hand will come out covered.

the slave cylinder is on the tranny, the master cylinder is on the firewall by the brake master cylinder

If there is paint missing or looks dis-colored by the clutch master cylinder then it is leaking because brake fluid eats paint away

i see some oil under the carpet right under the clutch...okay so i just came from a mechanic and he told me that i have to change the clutch master cylinder, he also said that it will be a good idea to change the slave cylinder as well, he is charging me 180 for slave, clutch cylinders and labor, and parts are remanufactured, but he says that the parts he gets are remanufactures with new parts, like they fix the core with new parts, is this a good price?

sounds pretty good, 180 with labor isnt much especially if you dont know what youre doing

ive never done a clutch master cylinder, but it doesnt look like fun
