Re: Why No Type R?

Here is one more opinion why you will never see a Honda Civic Type-R in the states.

1. To make the car 50 state smog legal, they would have to total tune down the motor.

2. In the States,...

Couple Questions 2006 / 2010 SI FG2

It has been a while since I have been on here. Ever since my 2006 SI burnt to the ground, I have not been motivated to go to the forums.

Good news is I now have a 2010 Civic SI Coup that I am...

Re: ANybody no about Wheels,Spacers,and offset's..?!?!? (john_07si)

Not to encourge, but if your running a wheel with a 45 offset, 6mm will fit the wheel well and still allow you to use the stock lug stud. 8mm will be almost flush with the edge of the wheel well,...

Re: So I Dynoed My Car Today....... (RICO_)

Those are good numbers.

My mechanics came up with a pretty high loss at 24% for my ride.

They had some calculation they used that took into account Front/Rear drive, boost, compression ratio,...

Re: Taking my car back for the Recall for the transmission tomorrow! (Blackline47)

Does anyone know, do they pull the tranny to do this? I am asking because if they do, I might pay a few extra bucks and have the clutch replaced at the same time. If not, the clutch will wait.

Re: Getting tired of your si? Why? (bs101)

Well, I certainly am not tired of my SI. I just ran out of stuff to do to it (trying to keep away from ricey stuff). I love the power with the supercharger and will love it more when the Stage 2...

Re: I want to turbo charge my 2008 civic si help? (siboii08)

Ok, you have a conflict of interest here. If you want something cheap, it is not going to be reliable.

First, there is nothing that is "cheap" that I know of (Turbonator excluded). The 2 I know...

Re: DBW to cable... has anybody done this? (8YourV8)

To answer your question, I believe at least one person has, but it was car that was being modified for the track.

To be honest, it is not worth it unless you plan on running a K-pro. It is lot...

Re: I need a wheel!! (memphisfuk)

Don't have that, but I do have 4 SI wheels w/tires (less than 10K mile on them), that I might part with.

Re: 3rd Gear Issues, etc? SOLTUION HERE, PLEASE READ! (Vinc84)

Vic, can you provide the copy of the service bulletin or maybe the service bulletin number? That would be really helpful when I raise with issue with my service manager.

Thanks

Re: weres a good place to find a tranny fo the Si? (aeenox)

I suggest you buy a factory Tranny from an on-line shop and have them ship it to you. You can get a factory new Tranny for $2,700. Labor to install is 8 to 10 hours, so figure $800 to $1,500 to get...

Re: Stainless steel brake lines - but which one?? (SeanJohn1802)

Question?

I noticed you got Dot 4, are you changing your rotors? Is there a benefit to using High Temp, Dot 4 fluid in stock rotors?

That stuff is expensive. I needed to add fluid to my...

Re: 1-3-5-6 gear changes (Mattgrimes)

To be honest, this is a good way to overwork your clutch. I believe the ECU log's if a gear is missed in shifting. I would think you might have a warranty issue if your clutch goes early.

Any...

Re: Swapping an NHBP Si for a TW Nav Si? (kboyer)

See what they offer on the trade in. I am thinking they will only offer you about $15K - $16K. If that is the case, then yep, it's a big hit.

Good luck

Honestly, it depends on what YOU want.

If your not boosted, Boost really is not needed. If your going to boost, it depends on how. If your going supercharger I suggest Boost, Wide Band A/F, Oil...
