Here is my situation.. I drive a 2002 civic si hatch. Alpine HU.

Recently I installed 4 alpine coaxial type-s speakers (sps-610) in the front and back also leaving the oem tweeters by the mirrors....

All good points. Battery is a brands new interstate. I think the CCA is 525. Best I could find for a battery that size.

Update on the situation.. The car continues to do this "grind" at any temp...

I did read a write-up on that. I have some 1" spacers laying around also, so I should be set from that standpoint. Thanks again for all your help, much appreciated.

From what I've read, it seems to be pretty common. I just don't want it to eventually destroy the teeth on the flywheel/starter/solenoid...

I do know that just upgrading a HU makes a heck of a difference on stock speakers, but I do have 4 alpine type-s 6.5" laying around, so I plan on dropping them in. I'll try running the stock tweets...

Sorry for the long wait for a reply. I finally found the time to pull the caliper apart. I did happen to be that the clip that hold the pads in was rubbing on the inside part of the rotor.

When the belt is loose? Will it be a big deal if I don't get it realigned? I just don't want it to hurt my engine down the road. I plan on getting a lot of miles out of this car yet...
